Analog Heat MK2 + SSL2+ (Only Mono Signal Help)

Recently purchased an Analog Heat, and I love the unit but one issue I’m having is processing audio without Overbridge.

I only receive a mono signal when I run out of the my SSL2+ output 3/4 into Heat MK2 and into channel input 1 with a singal stereo jack on my SSL2+

But through Overbridge it works as expected, this is really jarring as you can imagine, I’ve got around it so far by using has effect but would prefer to just slap the distortion on the channels and it work as expected.

Hi, welcome!

Each channel on the SSL2+ is mono.

If you want to connect a stereo source, you must connect Left to channel 1 and Right to channel 2. Also press the Stereo switch on the SSL.

From the manual, page 16:

"If you are recording a single source (a single microphone into one channel) or two
independent sources (such as a microphone on the first channel and a guitar on
the second channel), leave the STEREO switch unpressed, so that you hear the
sources in the middle of the stereo image.

However, when you are recording a
stereo source such as the left and right sides of a keyboard (coming into channels 1
and 2 respectively), then pressing the STEREO switch will allow you to monitor the
keyboard in true stereo, with CHANNEL 1 being sent to the left side and CHANNEL
2 being sent to the right side."
