Im sorry guys, i recently registered here and its my only forum as a “beginner producer”. If i post in the wrong thread please dont delete my post but move it…
I been DJing for about 5 years and i started with ableton recently. Gotten know the interface a little and also i have some theoretical knoledge from the past years after testing a moog mother 32 and a small little homebuilt eurorack with modules… I soldthe rack as it got to tough for me in practic. However now i am hooked on the DAW way and my plan is to make Heat my weapon of choice and im also thinking about adding a Digitakt later on…
Now too my questions in wich i need some help. Do you think a midi keyboard like the new M-audio CTR49 along with a Heat, Is just as good as a Ableton Push 2 and the heat?
I have not used either the Push 2 or the CTRL49, but the answer for you surely depends on your current or future (piano) keyboard proficiency. Do you play keyboard or plan to learn? If not, the Push 2’s note entry buttons and tight integration with Ableton Live might win out for you.
Bear in mind that you can start with one of the two devices and add another later.
I like to play all instruments tho i cant not I still make themsound good tho- with a rythmic approach-, so yes… plan is to learn hoiw toplay piano and guitar and flute etc better. going to add a midi keyboard to the push 2 and a mic along with the heat later this year…
problem is i almoust had a push 2 last night but some1 overbid me and imjust very unsecure how to read the signs here… i can only afford a CTR49 or maybe a used push 2… I just wanna get some input if a CTR49 would act alnmoust as good as a Push…
I’ve never used that keyboard or Push 2…but I can almost guarantee you that the Push 2 will be a totally different and more indepth controller for Ableton than the keyboard…apples and oranges really…
