Analog Heat +FX OS 1.00: bug reports

Same here. Wrote a support ticket to Elektron this afternoon, asking whether it’s an expected behaviour. Looks like it is

Expect the unexpected

Just adding to the chorus of people requesting more output gain…as soon as I hooked it up I remembered this problem from the mk2. I have it coming back in on a mixer channel and am adding 20db there, which more or less does the trick, but I’d love to have the option for this additional post-FX clean gain inside the Heat.

I don’t mind the attenuation on the input, as I’m someone who likes using the Heat for subtle coloration more than for massive destruction. I’d just like to be able to make it up on the back end.

Kind of amazed the much-longed for first OS update still hasn’t come. But I’m delighted by the box. Eager to see what they’ve been cooking up for it.

I think a good solution would be for the gain staging to behave like the original modal when in analog mode. But I think they are been a bit conservative in their approach to the gain in regards to using the effects block.

Me too. Kind of jarring when it hops onto High Gain

Quite a few people chimed in on this one, seems like a slightly jumpy circuit dial was common once upon a time. One comment says ‘we’ve all got one’. Was it ever properly addressed or commented on by Elektron themselves? Doesn’t bother me personally, but looking at moving mine on, and it would be good to know whether it’s something I should look at getting sorted first. Cheers.

PS: I did update the firmware… maybe slightly better(?)
