Analog Heat +FX Feature Requests

The Analog Heat +FX features a screen saver that dims the screen after 5 minutes of inactivity and turns off the screen after 60 minutes. Press any key or move any controller to wake up the screen.

requests:

  • add option to manually dim or turn off the screen
  • add options to set the times at which this happens
  • add options for LED intensity

I use the heat +fx as a soundcard a lot just to pass audio for listening, it would be nice not to have the screen on in this instance

Plus 1 on above, personalization menu needed, especially for LEDs and screen.

Adding for the ability to turn off the Heat analog part, the fx part and the screen when using only as audio interface. This would save the internals and screen, and enable you to use the heat for your daily interface needs.

I also wonder if in this mode, which i too could see some genuine utility and value added we could finally arrange for a midi interface to be available

i have zero issue with the midi interface functionality being absent whilst the device prioritises its core business duties, but having a mode which only engaged itself as an audio/midi interface could be very handy indeed, especially if the screen could be dimmed quickly too and as you say (although probably unlikely) not powering the analog (heating) bits to save watts burned

an interface mode, even via startup menu would be nice indeed !

i posted that 2 posts above

analogue section can be bypassed, effects also in analogue mode, so it’s just the screen off there that would be nice.

Midi cc out on envelope/LFO destinations would be welcome too.

I more meant the ability to completely turn off at least the analog section, for it not to get warm, or be in use at all when using the special “interface” mode.

I also agree MIDI interface duties should be available.

got you.

Newcomer to the Analog Heat(+FX) world.

After a few days some requests started to pop up.

  • Most important one for me at this moment: Have a menu in the settings where you can choose which of the FX are always ON. Per preset would be nice, but even a global setting would be very usable in a live setting. This way you can have , for example, HEAT, BASS and COMP always on. The toggle option becomes much more usable for doing transitions or short bursts of multiple fx’s, while you can keep your levels and coloring/saturation in check. While we’re on the toggle option subject, don’t know if it’s the case or not, but It would be handy if this setting was saved in the preset.
  • The obvious one: more FX. A lot of people are asking this, so just adding one I would like to see implemented: reversed delay
  • +1 for reload preset. hit SETTINGS+NO
  • Add a Temporary save option: SETTINGS + YES

Yes, some Tonverk FX would add a lot of value to the AH*FX.

About the delay time, if you push and turn the encoder it snaps to quantized settings when it’s midi synced.

I would also like to add a buffered bypass to my previuos requests for delay and reverb trails. This could make transitions more musical and make the AHFX a better live performance tool.

in case you didn’t know holding the settings button and updating the time does this iirc. It’s a nice idea regardless!

Just saw that Tonverk got a frequency shifter and comb filter! I’ll be looking for a Fx+ update now, excited!

What, I didnt know that. If I push and turn the knob or if I push cog and turn, it doesnt work for me, it still going between the musical time values, just with whole numbers.

Btw any usefull tips and tricks forum or video about the heat fx?

Thank you!

Is AH+FX built on the new platform (not talking new new as in TV, but DT2 and DN2)? If not, I don’t think we’ll get a new AH+FX update, since that would mean implementing it from scratch for the AH+FX.
That being said, I feel the AH+FX has gotten little love and is a little underwhelming, so hopefully they do.

I for one will be extremely disapointed if they don’t bring some of Tonverk’s effects to the AH+fx. After all, it is their flagship fx box and there is no overlap. Also, no significant updates so far.

Absolutely. Really need to see some - or all - of these effects ported over.

I agree. It’s the only Elektron device I regret buying. I hope an update will fix that.
