Analog Four - the gift that keeps on giving

thought I’d make my 303rd post an open letter in praise of my analog four …

the more I think I’ve got to know it, the more it surprises me, it’s not just deep, it’s musically deep and at times just deeply beautiful. it’s a joy to program & to listen to - there’re epiphanies every other day it seems, this is one instrument i will never outgrow and thankfully i will never master (it’s too flexible & deep to truly conquer), there will always be surprises, it’s addictive & a joy to explore & play … it’s all too easy to see why the Elektron bug is so darn infectious, i’m hankering for an OT pal for it now !

… i’m sure i’ll be just as enthused by my 606th post

yep, i’d be all over those (they sound great) if i wasn’t so proud, you see, i think sound and music are the same thing (well, sound is what i like, music is a subset) - so sound design for me is always something i need to have aesthetic ownership of, maybe less important with hits but some of those sounds were very tasty (esp penultimate set)

For me the A4 is a big issue

Because I suffer from deficit of attention with hyperactivity syndrome, many times while working on a track I decide to retouch a bit a sound on the A4, then I see some parameter on a menu, then I think -“what if?..”

…I just comeback to my work may be one hour later after programming not less than 3 or 5 completely distinct, useful, and amazing new sounds. Is kinda drug.

Is there some A4A help group to start working on my A4 dependence?

I swear that tomorrow I will not program my A4, today I can’t, sorry.
