What is the track one neigbor ? how does the neighbor osc 2 wav work?
Please, read the manual: Appendix A-2
WAV (OSC2 Waveform) sets the oscillator waveform to Saw- tooth, Transistor Pulse, Pulse, or Triangle. It is also possible to choose one of the two External Inputs (to send external sounds through the filters) or to activate Neighbor, which will route the audio of the previous track to the currently active track. Note that selecting a waveform does not change the PW parameter, which affects the waveshape of the chosen waveform.
So it comes handy if you want to double the Filter poles or to Sync/AM waveforms.
About it on Track-1 dont really know…havent tested yet
I knew the manual info but i was wandering what is the previous track to track 1… (tested track 4 …)
it is n/a for track 1 - only for 2>4, but for sound compatibility, it can be loaded on track 1, but it won’t do anything
It could be a nice feedback loop
exactly, that’ll be why it doesn’t work that way !
I come back on this thread because i’m still trying a way to understand better this, since it DOES something.
I uploaded a sysex sound called [NEIGHBOR T1](https://www.dropbox.com/s/9gt1urn1xizq7ma/Neighbor T1.syx).
I would like to compare your experiences.
Let’s say you have OSC2 with the Sub activated (like in that sound)
If the OSC2 is closed (the “grounded” graphics) then is still possible to hear a bit of the Sub osc. + plus OSC1.
But if you set it to N (neighbor) then the Sub becomes more evident (it is like the OSC1 gets lowered in level)
Dont really know how to understand this.
P.S.
gong into the obvious: the sound has to be loaded on Track1
