Analog Four MKII Sequencer MIDI Out

I’m really struggling here, I’ve got to ask because it’s been a whole day and I can’t work this out.
Trying to sequence a MicroFreak from the A4, all I’m getting is - I can play the MicroFreak from the A4 “keyboard” but if I place trigs on the sequencer the sound played back is from the A4 track, not blended with the MF, just A4 sound.
Midi via 5 pin, channels are set per track on the A4, input channel on the MF is correct, transport and clock are being sent.
Latest firmware is installed.
I can’t work out what I’m missing.

Any advice is really appreciated.

Did you enable SEND MIDI in the NOTES SETUP menu for the track?

Thanks for the quick response Peter, I have now, excellent, it triggers the MF. But how does this Key Note — C work?
Every note played back is a C, even when I change it to a different note.

KEY NOTE sets the base for any transposition you make later. See page 43 of the manual.

If you want to write a melody in a track, parameter lock the NOT (note) parameter in the NOTE menu.
