Analog Four MKI Issues

Hey all, looking for some thoughts/advice about an issue which has developed with my A4MkI. In the last couple of days Track 1 on the device has stopped behaving as expected - OSC1 now produces a very high pitched sound instead of the regular waveforms, and OSC2 seems to now sound and behave a bit different than usual (although it is at the correct pitch). The analog filter also isn’t working properly - resonance works just fine but the filter cutoff and overdrive aren’t affecting the sound. This is only the case with Track 1, and all other tracks work fine.

I have, of course, tried clearing the track sound in case I’d accidentally done something, but it doesn’t affect these issues, and in fact when loading in new sounds the new sounds don’t play as they should. This leads me to believe it could be an issue with some of the analog circuitry, but if any one has any thoughts or suggestions on how to fix this, that would be great!

Thanks,
Tom

Have you tried a start up test?

Switch of. Turn on and hold FUNC, then select the test option.

Possibly calibration needed?

I’m just shooting mate.

Thanks! Have tried that now - it’s showing 0 errors

have you tried a completely new project?

Well, this has stopped the issues! That’s a relief, thanks! Any thoughts what could have been the issue in the other project?

trying a new project for testing, if it is settings related is always worth a shot on the elektrons :+1:t2:

if you load the project, in which the error occured again, is it still there?

you could try all parameters in all pages, if the issue is not there it may be in the sound settings/track routing…

Had you updated the OS recently?

Once, years ago, I had updated the OS with my main project in RAM and that process had corrupted that project.
it is rare but can happen. I always load a dummy project prior to OS updates, now.

Yeah it’s still there when opening the other project. I’ll play around and see if I can find the cause, but it’s not a big problem as it was only a project I created for messing around in so not too important!

I haven’t recently so it can’t be that, but that’s really good to know for future updates!

I wonder if this is what happened to my A4 and Digitone patterns… I haven’t gotten too into the digitone yet since all my patterns seemed to change. Now noticing the same on my A4 after a long period of not much use. That will drive me crazy. I was thinking about starting from scratch on both boxes.
