Analog Four/Keys users - A tip for a deep control of your sounds!

Hey there!

One of the key advantages of using Aftertouch (AT), Breath Control (BC), and Mod Wheel (MW) on the Elektron Analog Four / Keys is that their values are persistent across different Kits (or at least they used to be). For instance, let’s say you’re working with multiple machines. You can use AT to filter your bass, making it super short and percussive, stripping away its tonality. Now, when you switch to another pattern/Kit with a similar modulation setup for AT, the bass will retain that percussive quality. This consistency makes transitioning between songs in a live set with multiple machines much smoother and more seamless. Perfect for maintaining flow in dynamic live performances!

Cheers!

I think I’ll solder something like the loopop expression fader but with a joystick and therefore I guess I can use a passive joystick (basically 2, 10k pots inside) wired to the CV1/2 inputs on A4 (one axis each) and because it needs voltage to get distributed and I don‘t want to mess with external sources I think it’s really smart to feed the joystick with CV directly from the A4 :cowboy_hat_face:

this way you can even sequence the incoming voltage or let it be sequenced ADSRs with a curve and such while simultaneously controlling pitch up/down, breath & mod like AKs joystick.

the best is that presets already hold the respective mod values, the thing that give the AK it’s immediacy :ghost:

Please share details/pics when you do! I’d love to add a joystick to my A4mk2
