Due to recent inquiries and posts regarding A4 paint issues, we have made a limited number of A4 panels. The plan was to release a small run of white panels with black and red text to compliment/contrast the standard black color scheme.
We call it OREO for those that have the trinity (any 3 black elektron boxes) the white a4/octa/md would sit right in the other (2) black elektron units middle, just like the Oreo cookie
Making a small run in one color obviously keeps cost down. We have had quite a few requests for A4 panels in other colors, that being said if there were a sufficient demand. We would consider a pre-order/group buy for a “limited” run of these with some color options.
We have sold out of our black laser engraved Machinedrum panels and also quite a few Octa panels to satisfied customers in the US and as far as Europe and Australia.
For those that are not familiar with us here are some links :
What are the possible prices? Will there be tiered pricing depending on how many people get on board?
Elektron’s choice of red text on black is a total UI failure… I would love to get a panel with a more legible selection of colors, but it has to cost far less than 1/2 the price of the machine itself.
Our panels are very affordable, the laser engraved MD panels we made were $225.00 please take into account all parts are made and assembled here in the USA.
We can’t give any solid numbers yet we are working out the a scale price based on quantitates. Will post numbers in a few days thanks.
We work around the warranty life of the various boxes. MD/Octa and some A4’s are out or approaching the end of their warranties . Most people are more comfortable at that time to purchase our panels. Manufacturing 1-2 panels for the newly released AR would be cost prohibitive at this time as demand would probably not justify the expense of bringing them to market. That being said we are open to a small run of AR panels for those that are seriously interested Thanks
Unless he changed something, these will be the face plates only. Even the deep red Machinedrum plate matches surprisingly well with the dark gray case. The contrast will be better with any of the dark trinity since black (Elektron black-ish?) pretty much goes well with any color.
i LOVE the white octatrack panel design, but i’m going to be honest: the $225 price point is just too much for me. i’m not saying you should do anything, and i have no idea what your costs are, but for me personally, spending that much money on a cosmetic change only is just out of the question.
that is the price of an excellent effect, some old school digital synth, squier vintage modified guitar, etc.
don’t count me as ungrateful, just giving my two cents, as i appreciate the effort.

I think you should assume that audio custom.pl is not Dick Malibu.
