Hi,
I am having trouble syncing ni maschine with analog four. Can somebody help me with
connection and settings? I have connected it by midi cable, midi in from a4 to midi out on maschine. My settings is that maschine sends midi clock and a4 receives but its not syncing.
I am totally new in that kind of things.
Please help.
Sorry for my English
I did it and I also have changed some settings, now I have in maschine sync to external midi clock and in a4 settings clock recive but i left cable connection like it was before, midi in on a4 and midi out on maschine controler. In maschine preferences I set up sync offset slave on -79 and now is working good but sometimes after few min its going out of sync. Especially when I press stop and play it again (I need to set up sync offset slave in maschine preferences every time when I press stop and play again).
Before I made that changes I was trying with maschine preferences sync offset slave and also with clock offset in outputs midi settings and I couldn`t sync it.
Am I doing something wrong?
I am a totally beginner so very sorry for stupid questions
Hope you understand because my english is not very well.
hmmm… I’m not sure about how to set the sync offset for the midi out in maschine. It does sound like you have it setup correctly. I normally use ~39 but it’s specific to my setup. Why not try to sync via USB?
I have tried with usb connection and its the same like with midi cable. I also tried this with ableton, looks little bit better but still not ok. When I press stop and play again it starts synced but after few minutes going out of sync like in maschine. Is it possible that its because of my audio interface? I am using denon dn-x 1600 sound card and I hear some strange noises (clicks, dont know how to name it), its going out of sync straight after that noise. I tried to play some samples just right now in ableton but without denon sound card, just connected to my PC, and when I opened maschine in ableton as a vst I dont hear any noise ( for this moment ). Maybe I should just invest in a good audio interface?
What do you think?
Well, a good audio card will help, but i’m not sure that it’s causing the issue with the drifting clock. You’re sure it says EXT as the bpm when you start your DAW?
I am definitely doing something wrong in maschine. I have tried a trial version of
ableton 9 and evrything is working good in it. I think I have been doing something wrong in ableton 8 also. I will try again.
Is it possible that its because of my PC? I am working on windows 7 64bit and i am using it for everything (wifi connection and many other programs). I heard some bad opinions about windows for music production. What if I optimaze my PC only for music?
I have found some information in the internet about it.
While we are discussing Maschine and Analog Four, do you guys have a method to render complete arrangements out of Maschine sw with external hardware synths?
Lukree, yea, currenty it’s impossible to do realtime rendering in Maschine 2. As a workaround you could solo tracks one by one and sample a master channel, as a result you will have all your tracks rendered somewhere in maschine samples folder.
