Analog 4 mk1 screen SOLVED CAN CLOSE

Hi

Just wondering if this is seems normal to anyone. My a4 mk1 screen has always seemed to blend between words rather than snap. By that mean when I turn a knob and a parameter changes such as from resonance to cutoff the word quickly fades and blends into the next rather than a sharp cut. Do I need to open and adjust the trim pot that puts more black into the display?

Thinking of selling mine and remembered that mine seemed less snappy with the display. All works as normal and no lag or issue with how the knobs work.

Can see it in this video I made with text in bottom left, always seems snappier in other peoples videos

Rubbish video I know but hopefully can notice the slight blend

looks fairly normal to me. adjusting the trim pot might or might not help, can’t tell if it needs adjusting, but the mk1 screens are slow like that imo.

the bottom left text in your vid does look hella slow blend. I’ll have to check my A4 later.

Thanks

I’ve not owned any other mk1s but I remember watching a tutorial video a while back and convinced myself mine seemed slightly more slower.

Not used it a while and after using mk2 machines and I seemed to notice it more today when I started using the mk1.

Maybe it’s mostly in my head

yea comparing em to mk2 isn’t going to help matters :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I have been running it through its paces today as thinking of selling it and just paranoid of any potential issues so maybe over worrying a bit.

Thanks, will use it for few days with no mk2 as you’re right, I’m probably subconsciously comparing to mk2

I’ll check mine later n report back

Excellent thank you. Puts my mind at rest and always worry not pointing something out when selling
