Each of the 12 tracks can be anything between 2 and64 steps long, that summary isn’t accurate, the only significant aspect of 16,32,48,64 is that it denotes how many pages of sequencer trigs will be scrolled through
Also keep in mind that there is a separate global loop length that will repeat the start of the whole pattern, this can be set very short or up to 1024 long or infinite(in which case each track will loop itself and ignore global looping
Eg
If you program a 14 step loop, you’ll see 14 steps scrolled on one page of 16
If you double the length, you don’t get two pages of 14
You get 1 page of 16 and 12 on the second (ie 28of 32)
So you can’t dial in 14/32 as your point implied
Don’t forget the fx track can be a different length too to gert very polyrhythmic patterns going !
