Ambient Takes With Model Cycles (+ iPad) As A 6 Voice FM Synth

Hey guys,

i recently came back to the M:C and would love to share my recent experiments in a more soothing ambient direction. I found it especially handy to sequence the m:c with the ipad and use a little helper app called Polythemus to allocate the voices in a random or round-robin fashion across all tracks. This way the Cycles becomes basically a full six voice fm synth. Would love to hear your thoughts about this. Happy music making, Marcus

Interesting ! can cycles transmit midi data when you tweak it , to record the data onto a daw or sequencer ?

Thanks! Afaik it can only send out midi note for each track but no cc. So you can’t record the knob movement to a daw. But you can send individual midi cc‘s TO your M:C (check the manual for cc mapping). So you could program cc lanes in your daw and send them to the M:C
