I think most people (like hundreds of millions or a billion plus or something 
) who learn an instrument like guitar, piano, wooden flute, etc. just use it as a creative release. It makes a person feel good to express oneself creatively whether anyone hears it or not. It can ease the mind and allow oneself to forget about the troubles of the world for a moment, it’s refreshing, and it just helps in a strange way to release ones emotions creatively through music. Most of them probably learn and play other people’s songs, sure there’s lots that write songs too but I think that’s more of a minority of instrument players. Maybe they don’t have a banjo, saxophone, marimbas, and congas hanging around, but whatever… Just have fun…

Totally agree with this. It’s only very recently that we have been able to record what we play, let alone share it with the world.
