nixe fx, but the user-interface is totally the opposite of what “DJ fx” should look and feel like, and work like. Typical DJ fx have massive rotaries, toggles, switches, lots of spacing etc.
If they would put this in a hardware unit that looks more like an EFX or Erica fx unit or an isolator, they might be selling a bunch to DJ’s
Agreed for sure. I wish there was more competition in this space. EFX-500 is still my favorite form factor from pioneer. EFX-1000 sounds great but it’s huge and flimsy light plastic. Someone needs to step in and take over the game
It’s a clever form factor, and would like to see more companies inspired by it. Being able to combine effects, cut and add per frequency range, the latching/momentary levers, and the kill switch with the option to fade out seem to make this a fun box. Would like to see something similar, with Roland effects, or just more creative effects in general.
Yeah, the RMX-1000 has an isolator effect, which is why I though it was odd they omitted it on the Ignite. It’s a pretty common DJ effect. The Roland SP’s have them too, from the SP303 on up.
