AlphaTheta RMX-Ignite

The two Oxi Meta modules are very RMX-like. If you had two in a row you could duplicate a fair amount of the behavior (like Riser + Trans effect).

The other modules are just line input and output. I think the oxi Meta can run at line level though, I just remembered.

So the replacement could be very small. 13cm x 10cm

nixe fx, but the user-interface is totally the opposite of what “DJ fx” should look and feel like, and work like. Typical DJ fx have massive rotaries, toggles, switches, lots of spacing etc.

If they would put this in a hardware unit that looks more like an EFX or Erica fx unit or an isolator, they might be selling a bunch to DJ’s

Agreed for sure. I wish there was more competition in this space. EFX-500 is still my favorite form factor from pioneer. EFX-1000 sounds great but it’s huge and flimsy light plastic. Someone needs to step in and take over the game

Agreed, Erica might be a good candidate, their Ninja Tunes collab is looking very nice: Zen Delay - Erica Synths

It’s a clever form factor, and would like to see more companies inspired by it. Being able to combine effects, cut and add per frequency range, the latching/momentary levers, and the kill switch with the option to fade out seem to make this a fun box. Would like to see something similar, with Roland effects, or just more creative effects in general.

Hands off fx.

Perhaps this is what you mean with isolator? If you already do know the RMX-1000, perhaps it´s help for someone else.

RMX-1000 is also a beautiful machine. :slightly_smiling_face:

Yeah, the RMX-1000 has an isolator effect, which is why I though it was odd they omitted it on the Ignite. It’s a pretty common DJ effect. The Roland SP’s have them too, from the SP303 on up.

There are some things that are imo better on Ignite and some are better on 1000. If I find space I will hook them up together.
