Allocating Reserve Recording?

Perhaps this is a feature request or an implementation flaw. Reserve Recording, Track Recorders should be specific e.g., R3 or R7 not only R1. I’ve also found Control Memory access a bit scenic, meaning lacking a specific button shortcut. However that a side Reformatting Flex RAM stops Playback. What happened to on the fly performance sampling? That is sampling lengthy clips to reserved recorders and then off loading them to Static Machines. Reformat the Flex RAM and continue on my way… but the transport stops in the middle of a live set. First world problems I know but what’s with that?

Bringing this back up as I have pretty much the same question.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to allocate reserve recordings to one particular track and not just R1?

Just starting to record longer performances and I like to keep my flex on R8.

Not a huge deal if I can’t, will just have to move the tracks around but it would be nice.

Do you have to use reserve recording? It just marks the limit of memory you have available for flex slots. If you know you’ll only use a small number of flex slots, or mostly statics, then you can turn on Dynamic Recording, and turn off reserves.

Also worth noting you can easily allocate R1 to T8, no need to move tracks.

Ahh yeah that sorts it. Not too sure why I thought I did, went down a bit of a rabbit hole. Cheers!

Yeah I originally thought that too, would it be as simple as selecting R1 on T8?
I tried it that way that and couldn’t get it routed properly (recieved low memory message) but I was probably missing something?
Sorted now anyway but would be good to know how to do this for future reference
