Looking good everybody. I think that time period in January is perfect for a nice meet up.
Would also like this thread to start including show dates in NYC that include the following:

  1. Your own gig
  2. Gigs involving electronic gear : elektron &/or non elektron
  3. expo’s and/or gnard events ( use your imagination, someone may be interested)
    If there is enough interest and man power I would like to put together a show in the future. [/quote]

    I (loosely) know someone (somehow) involved with Silent Barn and they seem pretty open to weird electronics/noise/etc, perhaps would be a nice place to have an elektronauts symposium show :slight_smile:

    Count me in. Although, my stuff only has little glimpses of “weird” in it. :slight_smile:

HA was thinking of that place recently. I also know someone( friend of friend) have someone involved. Perhaps same person!?
Either way would love to rig up my gear to massive amps.

I can possibly drive in from Fairfield County. I have an OT and a Eurorack modular setup along with a Pulse 2. Sonic mayhem awaits.

Very good. Now its all a matter of planning, location, and head count. If anyone has any ideas throw them out there! For a goof around/social gathering Id say any sort of decent space would do, assuming there are no noise restrictions. I would recc my apt that can hold ~6 people with gear comfortably but I am on unofficial noise probation due to numerous complaints :imp:

For a legitimate show I would say we need serious inquiries first for headcount and go from there.

Now for some guiltless advertising. I am playing a show Dec 29th at Pianos bar ~9pm under moniker Temple
Also, playing with Big Leader ( drummer and guitarist who also uses mcmillen 12 step connected to SP and MT rigged to EHX 8 step…what!? )

Sunday the 19th sounds good to me too.

In terms of location, I’m down to host in Crown Heights if it’s pretty small (no more than 6 people?) but ideally we could find somewhere a bit bigger. If anyone has access to a place with a real PA, that would be great.

Not sure if you guys have checked out some of the Koma Elektronik pedals/gear but they recently sent out the following:

“On Thursday January 16th 2014 we’ll be in New York City to visit the awesome people of Control in Brooklyn: in the late afternoon and evening we will be hosting a meet up and little party at their shop. We would like to invite you to hang out with us, have a beer and try out some of our (new) machines.”

I have two of their pedals and will definitely be going to check out their gear. Let me know if anyone is going so we can meet up.

I have a good friend that might be open to letting us use his basement. In Bushwick near Myrtle and Menahan st. It’s on the M line.

We should get a head-count of how many people are for sure going to come so we can know what kind of space we need.

Awesome! Thanks for heads up, i will be in attendance. Double whammy is that i have been very interested in this companies pedals for awhile now. :slight_smile: Control is also right around the block from me. This can be a nice un-official meet up for all of us. Whats the deal with the 19th? I keep seeing the date but no other info.

Control is awesome but their space is small, I don’t think they can really accommodate much more than their gear and their customers :slight_smile:
