This afternoon I went back to my Rytm to keep on working on some sounds, and I noticed it was only making a bizarre clicking sound. I had it in chromatic mode, because I was working on a synth pad sort of sound. Whenever I pressed a new pad, nothing would really happen.
So I go out of chromatic mode, and all 8 voices are spazzing out. Like, just triggering themselves over and over again. Whenever I hit a new pad, that pad just spazzes out and keeps triggering itself. So I have 8 pads lighting up and they won’t stop, but they aren’t really making any sound in particular, just an obnoxious sort of clicking.
I’ve pretty much tried everything since then. I did the analysis thing, and test mode indicates I have 1 error: Audio [-]LR12345678.
I tried doing a factory restore, since I only got the machine about a week ago, and didn’t have much saved on it yet, and it didn’t fix the problem.
If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. Thanks for your help.
Thanks, I’ve contacted Elektron support via their website. I’ll let you guys know whatever happens just in case someone encounters a similar issue down the line.
This is not a software issue.
The most common is as already covered above that the PSU-2 that is used for the Octatrack, Monomachine Mk2 and Machinedrum Mk2 are being mistakenly used since they share the same plug.
The second is a failing PSU-3.
The third and least common is a hardware issue.
If it’s not the first described issue then please contact support and we will help you.
