Whatever, all recent MPD have MIDI USB I/O, and MIDI DIN I/O aside from the cheapest,

Unless you meant another regular one this clearly doesn’t have it. With regular people usually refer to the most basic version. If you meant another one then maybe you could’ve been more specific.

Reread what I wrote. You can’t even change pad banks on any MPC Studio when used with another DAW. The bank buttons just don’t work. ANd no, it doesn’t work as a stand alone MIDI controller either at first place.

I agree…I picked up a nicely used MPC Studio MK2 for less than $100. It’s a terrific way to control the MPC plug in in another DAW. If it supported Mackie HUI it would be much more useful because it is true that outside of the MPC plug in or MPC DAW, it’s a pretty dumb controller that requires a lot of effort to function at a basic level.
