Looking forward to reports of the Workflow Enhancements. Recursive Search actually sounds smarter than the “recursive search” on my Mac which is a joke because it always searches the whole damn computer instead of the folder that’s highlighted, before I can tell it “no I want you to search only within this specific folder you dummy”
Wow–so far so good with the product support on this one! I have to say that I felt this was good value on day 1, and keeps getting better.
Just tried the OP1 connected as USB class compliant, the MPC can output to it (albeit a bit glitchy) but can’t seem to get the OP1 into the MPC inputs, but may be overlooking something.
I guess One has sold more widely than I thought. There’s a store that sells thicker pads, faceplates, etc. for it

Don’t work with analog heat & digitone
What doesn’t work?
I’d take it that you should be able access the DT/DN’s audio ins and outs for routing with the MPC… not routing the DT/DN sounds via the MPC…?
I got input working with OP1 and OPZ too, it is a bit of a faff, you have to change audio device in prefs to OP1/OPZ, then you can sample over USB using inputs 1/2 in sampler, then once you have sampled, back to prefs to set audio device as internal.
OP1 is a bit glitchy with the occasional click, but OPZ seems to sample just fine.
I’ll check Rytm next.
Nope, does not like Rytm, gives this error message, probably because Rytm is 48khz (IMHO a big old PITA, its not a dvd player, 44.1 is standard FFS)
Probably why AH, DT and DN won’t work too @dotpi
Maybe they need to be class compliant at 44.1
Tried MC-707, gives a bunch of errors if using 707 vendor driver, and won’t work, but works with 707 generic driver, but getting lots of feedback, probably a settings thing.
Edit: yep, have to ensure 1/2 isn’t active in sampler input or the feedback occurs, might be worth experimenting as 707 has lots of ins/outs.
Edit2: or just turn off monitoring
Loving this update. The new synths and effects all sound great. Also am loving how my FocusRite Scarlett and OctaPre all show up in the MPC now.
Great great stuff AKAI! Thank you!
Absolutly, same message here for analog heat & digitone
Akai Gathered the latest videos into a Playlist here:
I’ve only had my MPC One Retro for a week and love it, then 2.10 drops.
32 in and out !!
Would be great with a Soundcraft Signature 22MTK. (wallet twitching)
I got the same thing.
Damn i was fantasising that all 4 of my Elektron Boxen would magically work streaming all channels using a hub…but from your reports non at all work… that would have been an insta buy…
Yeah unfortunately not the case, would need 44.1 support on Elektron or 48khz support on Akai, also unlike the USB midi mode on the MPC you can only have 1 external audio device at a time, I hope that changes in a future update.
Also I have noticed some clicking artefacts when recording USB sources into MPC, not sure if it is the fault of the MPC or the other gear yet though.
Arghh. Digitone and Behringer Flow 8 mixer are both 48 kHz. So close. Could sell the flow 8 and get a behringer 1820 but I think I still might sell the mpc and get an Octatrack. Imagine if the Octa had class compliant usb audio
Whoa, very nice Update Akai. Bought the MPC One two months ago and now this. Happy customer.
Agreed this is a proper stellar update, sold my OG live just before they dropped the 2.8 update and regretted it straight away, so im glad I pulled the trigger on the one, feels like it’s the unit that’s benefitted most from this update… I haven’t found any earth shattering bugs yet but it’s early days, having a proper dig around tonight…
