AKAI Force

Cool, but it still have the crossfader?

Sounds like it’s going to match the MPC Live 3 and have 8GB ram?

No it won’t. Sorry. And I say that as a massive fan of the Force.

For the dozenth time, it will NOT have 32 GB of RAM. Not even 16 GB. But you keep on dreaming, friend! Lol

Dude - THIS!! ^^^ And by the way he’s going, I’ll be getting several beers on his dime.

Of course!

Extra cool, but will crossfader gain the ability to do the cool things the touchstrip can do like change parameters like track vol?

I think Force 2 is gonna have a mild spec bump and be red. Adjusting my expectations here…

If it’s black I hope the make change the black buttons to a lighter color to create more contrast. The custom white Force made the black buttons stand out better.

So you drink the beers and we do the party beats when next flagship is launched on Force2 +16gb  in a few more months we all know… :raised_hands:

this. and fix the sticky coating

yeah no more sticky coating, that was big mistake for the unit.

So is it just the Force OG but with beefed up internals? Is it still the same size and dimensions? or has it changed in anyway?

I haven’t really heard anyone complaining about 8GB for the MPC Live 3. I’ve mostly heard people talk about how snappy it is. That said, I’m on an MPC Live 2 and don’t really use more than 4-5 tracks.

If it’s 8GB I would think it’ll probably be the same price as the Live 3

@HisNameIsAlive Also & how could I forget, does it have a Fn tilt screen?

Hello, longtime listener, first time caller here. I’m stoked Force might be getting some gen2 love but I find it a lil ominous over at the MPC thread this listing for the Key 37 gen2 with no hardware updates and a miserly 4 gb RAM. Pretty please Akai, don’t do us Force trailblazers like that! Put us on par with Live III’s 8 gb. I know you won’t give us any more of that sticky stuff so while you’re messing with the enclosure why not toss in a tilt screen? You know you want to!

The Key37 g2 can still run 16 stereo audio tracks & 32 plugin tracks. I guess they’re saving the 8 GB of RAM for the 61. I hope the Force gets 8 as well.

You don’t need close to 32 gigs of ram on a dedicated system, that would be a ridiculous waste of money for something it would never take advantage of. Have you not been following what is going on with ram and storage in the world? lol that’s a $4000 machine you just designed.

4 is less than 8. It’s totally unacceptable.

That’s debatable. If the more powerful processor allows it to run all those audio & plugins tracks I’m good with that.

What do you need to extra RAM for?

Huge hardware upgrade in the 37 in the new CPU… was more of a bottle neck than ram.
