Bingo!
He’s not even using the MockbaMod. Nope, just the Force in it’s natural form. His series is a great lesson of not letting the lack of new features from getting the most out of your gear.
Old OS≠Obsolete device.
Hello everyone.
In my Akai Force a green line has appeared similar to the one that appears on some mobile phones and LCD televisions. It works, but it’s quite annoying. I have tried to restart my Akai by pressing the power button for 30 seconds, but nothing happens. He has received no blow or anything like that; it is well preserved. Has it happened to someone else? Is there a way to fix it?
PS: I think my warranty has expired. I bought it in 2023.
Maybe the cable for screen inside the Force needs to be tighten. Get in touch with Akai: Submit a ticket : Akai Professional
Lines crossing the screen are generally more of a physical issue.
I don’t really know what the Force looks like under the hood, but since it’s out of warranty, leave the power off for a while, hold onto the metal of the case and see if you can visually trace where the panel connects via ribbon connector. Hopefully just reseating it on either end will be enough and it’s not a cold solder joint.
If the screen was physically damaged from a blow it would likely be more than one row that showed symptoms. If it was a software issue again we’d expect to see more than one line of the display faulty. A physical fault like a dry solder joint from the connectors for the cable to the main board (@thermionic good idea!) or a loose conductor from one of the plastic multiway connectors that was assembled without due care sounds more likely. Get it opened up and have a fiddle maybe? Sometimes the cause is obvious once you do this even if you don’t consider yourself an electronics expert. Don’t be afraid of the electrons!
Hopefully when the Force is updated to the new scheme there will be a resurgence of Force videos from the few regulars.
We had…
Maxipok
That Snowmetal guy
Elbow Music (Healthy Music)
I can’t remember the others
That would be great. Maxipok Force broke & used Akai wouldn’t grant him a new one even tho he made all these helpful videos. So he stop making them. Snowmetal still make Force videos, but it would be cool to see what he does with the new stuff. I really wish Pink Buddha would bring back Force Fridays & for Joe Filburn to make new videos. Nice Things has many great tips, but he can be all over the place & he doesn’t have timestamps. Elbow has some great demo’s.
I almost feel bad posting a question here because I know people are waiting for that promised update to drop (sorry, not sorry).
Am I correct that there is no way to load an entire folder of samples into the memory for the Force? Gotta smash that plus button, I guess.
Thanks in advance. Long live the Force!
Nope. The MPC can do it. Hopefully the Force will get that helpful feature.
I appreciate the confirmation. Thank you, @Poetic-Noise.
How to use MIDI Loopback to record to a clip from other clips. It’s kinda hard to make what he’s say at times but you should be able to see & hear what he’s doing. Since there is only one Arranger, this trick can be help when the arranger is already used, but you still want to record data from multiple clips while they are in Legato mode:

Poetic what is the best video you recommend for someone interested in buying a Force?. Looking for someone really who can cook a beat but show some strengths of the device?.
BTW of interested in step sequencer can you assign a chord on a step buy playing it and then putting on say a step like Move?
Force is discontinued and no longer in production.
I was going to buy used anyway.
Lol!
That not an easy question? Give me time to put a list together as there’s no 1 video I can recommend. More info on what music you’re trying to make & why you want the Force would be helpful.
