Hi !
I was in the wrong place (mpc thread) with a Force problem, so I copy it there :
I need an advice from Force users that would really help me.
How the hell do you softly mute a synth plugin which has a long release please ? The mute on the Force is an audio mute, not an event/midi mute, so when you mute a synth, the release of the synths are instantly cut, which is sooooo unmusical….
Any tips please ?
Thanks !
Yes, definitely. You could test it by soloing the track and counting the bars so you’d have an idea of how long it took for the sound to fade.
If you needed an alternate way you could manually lower the volume on the track with the touchscreen, the q-link knob, or external controller ( assuming it can be bound externally - never tried that myself).
I installed a battery and feet to make room for the battery and angle my Force sightly then bought a Gator shoulder bag to carry it. The bag has an outer pouch more than large enough for my Sony 7506 headphones. The bag isn’t much bigger than a “courier bag” and certainly smaller than a guitar bag. The battery runs for about four hours down to around 30% (the lowest you should let the batt get). I documented the process here:
I might have missed something in thread search, but did you ever solve this non-retracting SATA cable issue? My cable will also absolutely not move back up into the cavity, so that I also left a loose drive in the bay. The cable exerts enough pressure, though, that the drive is pushed up against the opposite side so that I think it won’t move much if at all.
No, I haven’t messed with that since I finally got it installed, but it has worked fine since then. The Force doesn’t move around and it’s a SATA drive anyway, so I’m not too concerned there. I did consider going back in and using some velcro to attach it or something, but ultimately I didn’t fancy the risk of either not being able to get it back in at all, or breaking something…
If I output a MIDI track to a keygroup track, and the MIDI includes pitch bend info, should it pitch bend the multisampled keygroup instrument as expected?
are there any Force beta testers here, if so and if you’re allowed of course can you say whether or not there has been any talk in the form of request on the beta team or developers on implementing tempo automation of scenes or any other sort?
Well, if you have the time - please post in the beta forum and ask Akai to release all of the new plugins that just came out for the MPC onto the Force as an option as well, because I’m dying to get Fabric XL and especially OPx4 into my Force!
Can anybody impart knowledge about crossfade looping and keygroups on the Force? I’m a little confused if setting Crossfade looping in the sample edit menu impacts samples which are then loaded into a keygroup track.
I bought a force about 4 months ago. Played with it for about 2 days and then put it away. Now I busted out again and decided that I kind of do like it but there’s so much Akai Linux etc weirdness with the OS that I’m getting a little frustrated. I am a manual reader too.
I have a umc1820 connected to my Force. Seems to work fine so far. I got it so i could send adat sync to my Presonus 4848, and get the Force and Cubase to sync via MTC with a common audio clock rate. Syncing those now is very tight, and dont drift at all.
