AK with other gear?

Hi everybody

I want to use AK together with the Op-1 and maybe also the Volca keys. Is there a way to send midi clock over USB from AK to these machines without a midisync box?

I think it’s not possible. You need to do it with the MIDI connectors.

Via USB you need a computer, or IPad,…

Ok, so I can use the AK as master clock to sync volca beats (Midi sync A) and op-1 (midi sync B) at the same time? Or do I need to use USB -> iPad with midibridge -> op-1?

Not sure if you can do it at the same time…I think SYnc A & B are for DINN sync, which is a different thing.

I would daisy chain, with the Volca at the end of the chain, as it has no out.

So, AK MIDI Out to OP1 MIDI In, OP1 MIDI Out to Volca MIDI In

I guess you’ll need some kind of USB-Midi cable for the OP1? You could try USB straight from AK to OP1… worth a try, the USB does send clock. Just make sure the OP1 is set to recieve clock. The Volca will be automatically.
