AK as Euro sequencer VS Doepfer a155/orbitals

Hey all - Ive kept the AK as I intend to use it primarily as a linear sequencer but Ive been tempted by the Doepfer A155 and the Orbitals. THe HP diesnt bother me at all - its the ease of access, hands on ect.
As i have my system arriving this morning Im even more itchy to work this out.
Im 100% going to get a Make Noise Rene when I can afford it but as a linear sequencer how is the AK in your opinion in this task?

I think it is better than any analog step sequencer, eurorack or not. the only thing that has that functionality is the Cirklon.

What speaks for AKs CV Track Seuencer?
First and obvious thing: It has 64 steps
Microtiming
Parameter Locks
The AK has a keyboard.
Say goodbye to live recording with a doepfer a155.
Pattern Saving space is huuuuge!
Pattern-Chaining
Song Mode
Realtime-Record of Knob-Movement.

the A4/AK cv sequencer just becomes more powerful and expressive as you obtain more external sequencers. I’m getting good results using the CV tracks for gate and resets while using pitch/linear value to create interesting modulations.

Like mentioned above, the best part is being able to save your kit and pattern and have it stored in the machine for later use.

Absolutely love being able to recall old patterns with new modular patches to hear what happens.

Rene is a great choice, and orbitals is certainly awesome as well and has a very nice interface that is much more immediate than the Ak/A4

The only thing lacking for me with the A4/AK sequencer was proper portamento/slide but there are many modules that can help achieve this if so necessary

welcome to eurocrack land! lol

Not strictly seq related but worth remembering the ak doubles as a midi2cv too, so can bring the power of your pc/mac midi tools and sequencing too. Some awesome, unique reaktor sequencers out there!

Guys have a look at this http://www.expert-sleepers.co.uk/fh1.html

My Octatrack just became the best sequencer in Euro

That thing looks amazing.
Thinking iPad and Lemur…
Bit confused by their description though:
“Using a suitable connector box (e.g. iConnectMIDI) “USB MIDI controller” here includes an iPad or plain old computer.”
Presumably you only need the iConnectMidi if connecting 5 pin din midi controllers?
I’m guessing/hoping you can plug the iPad straight in?
