Does anyone know a bit more about the Equalizer section than what is writen in the Manual? I suppose they are a Low+High Shelf filters? If so, what Q and at what corner frequency and below for the Lo and above for the Hi does the Eq start to boost-cut? Also with what steepness? Is it 12db 18db 24db/oct? etc
Yeah, those sections are usually low-shelf and high-shelf filters, not peaking EQs. Most gear uses corner frequencies around 80–100 Hz for the low shelf and somewhere in the 10–12 kHz range for the high shelf. Q is generally fixed and fairly wide, so it’s not like a parametric band. Steepness tends to be gentle, more like 6 dB/oct or 12 dB/oct, just enough to tilt the response rather than carve it. Manufacturers often don’t publish the exact Q because it’s not user-adjustable, but you can measure with pink noise and an RTA if you want the curve
