I searched a lot in the forum but i could not find a solution or i did not understand the other topics. So in short:
I am using an Analog rytm and an Analog four in song mode. Now i have following for example:
Analog Rytm: Row1: A01 A03 A05 A05 A06
Analog Four: Row1: A01 A03 A05 A05 A06
Master is Analog Rytm.
So everything works perfect. When i press play, both machines start from Row1 A01 and go on…
So now the issue. When i want to here again the middle of the song for example were A05 is, i choose on the Analog Rytm the third position were A05 comes, mark it, press “enter”. Now on both machines the third position with A05 is marked. Now when i hit play on the Analog Rytm only the Analog Rytm starts from this position. The analog four jumps back to the beginning of the song. What do i do wron to get it or is it normal?
I’m the opposite of an expert on Arranger/Song mode, but I think what’s happening is normal. They both have their own arrangement, and you’d need to select the pattern you want to play out of sequence on both for that to work.
the way around it is to have the AR send program changes to the A4 so it follows along and plays the same patterns as the AR, and not have it’s own arrangement. The disadvantage is then you need to consider how you’re programming the A4 to make the patterns do what you want.
Thanks for the answer. i found a solution. I must use the pause funktion. then it works. So i start on AR on songstart. then press play again, then choose the position which i want to hear again on both machines. mark the positions and simply press play again and now they play from that point together. thx
