Aftertouch via MIDI EXT from AnalogKeys?

Hi folks,

The AK refers to having aftertouch but I’m not seeing it coming from the AK when in MIDI EXT, just using it as a controller…any clue how i engage this standard MIDI Keyboard function.

Hello I am also very interested what is possible with midi ext. But i think only playing notes, velocity ( with no options ), and the 10 cc knobs. You very welcome to correct me, if there are more options.

Aftertouch AK not working?

I found your post after checking out my aftertouch and seeing that it was not working. There is usually a logical explanation for things. Sometimes they are not clear in the manual. So up your post comes after a search. The video was an eye opener as once I turned up the aftertouch with the track volume knob, it works fine. You can check if Aftertouch works with a midi monitor (software or harware).

Not sure what is your question but aftertouch and CCs are different midi messages. I guess AK have channel aftertouch, not poly aftertouch.

I want to use aftertouch to modulate cc xx.

Doable with a midi processor, mapping aftertouch to cc. It also can be used to map the 10 knobs CCs to different values.

Otherwise I don’t think it’s possible with AK only, depends on external hardware.
