AERIAL EP - Free Calming Algorythm Music

Hello Family, I would like to post here my first EP with InspektorGadjet project, AERIAL.

I found myself while creating this sounds, inmerse in a sea of peace and relaxation. I litterally played this sounds hours and hours while doing other stuff, cleaning the studio, writing emails, watching trough the window… So I thought, this could be enjoyable for many people too.

This EP it´s made of three tracks, which are in essence three Nord Modular Patches (+ Reverb). They use celulla automata, random generators and heavy use of Partials, Additive Synthesis, Overtones and vocal filters…

Huno: Why algorytmic?

In all this generative and audio experiments there are a lot of mathematical formulas involved, celula automata, fractals, euclidean patterns…

An algorythm is a formal set of rules, the idea is to use this Data that might not have a direct musical application and make it play music with “sense”, either rythmicly or harmonicly.

Is kind of an ecosystem where stuff hapens “randomly” but organized or pre-programmed in a way, that makes sense… and evolves infintely…
