Advice on routing: monitor out as input to a sampler?

Hello,

I would like to ask this (maybe dumb ?) question:

can I use a monitor out of a mixing desk as input to a sampler ? or is this bad for any reason ?

Yes you can. I prefer my monitors on the monitor out and sampling the main out and/or a bus out.

thanks. yes, of course, monitors on monitor out would make sense. I use two desks, so the monitor out of one desk goes to monitors. I have no other bus available.
It sounds OK on the monitor out, but I just wanted to ask if it would be bad for technical reason.
