wells guys … although i have really other worries right now i spent some serious time making thoughts about investing into new gear… btw i have to say i am a happy user of my OT, an A4, my Waldorf Blofeld and my unfinished and ever but wisely expanding modular
from this point of view (hardware) there is enough potential exploring new horizon soundwise
but
Messe and personal situation influencing my mind in a way which makes me feel i have to buy something … wired…
so
there are some options i allready figured out which could fit my needs:
1.) the AR … at Messe i wasn’t able to test the AR intense at the Elektron-Booth because of the f****** DJ-noise from around … but i was quite sucked up by the AR … so different from the A4 and OT … got my interrest … would complete the Trinity … but would force me to save money for some time
2.) the Waldorf Pulse II … did some testing at Messe … sounds good to my ears, many options, toxic
but here comes
3.) i allready have a modular with different oscillators and some nice filters with a SSM2044 in the pipeline… i can build a synth to my needs and beyond that with distortion modules and so on
which brings me to
4.) the modular investment: some month ago i got fancy with the Clouds from Mutable Instruments … but do i really need this module right now??? i also asked the same question myself about the Waldorf wavetable-module … i’m quite sure Waldorf has allready a MicroWave III as backup (in theory - assuming they act wisely, knowing that the modular hype is a bubble)
i dont’t know what to do … first of all i wanted to support the Parva-synth on Kickstarter … but after i was going inside myself i left this great project off
to be honest the …if i completed the trinity (the far most expensive decision) i’m quite sure i would not buy anything which will produce sound in a box for the next three to five years
