Adding CV to existing Circuits

Hey there - Noob questions ahead… ^^

as I got around to mod my Ibanez UE effect units with some switches to replace the old Footswitches they came with, I was wondering if one could add CV in’s for certain potentiometers to have them controlled by some ext. trigs in a sequencing manner.
While seaching the web, I stumbled upon synthrotek’s Vac Pak. This seems to offer everything I should need, with the downside of being a little more on the costly side, given that I would have about 10 kits that I would want to Mod with it as well as high prices in shipping and customs.

So, does anyone know if something similar to the Vac Pak might be available as a DIY or pre-assembled Kit within europe?

Should I rather stick to completly DIY the whole thing? If so is there a general schematic and maybe even a BOM one could recommend?
Would a project like this exceed my soldering/electronics skill? Only build an Megacommand, repaired some broken bits and pieces and modded switches…

the Vac Pak from Synthrotek uses vactrols and few other components. it’s something you could probably build yourself if you’ve some DIY skills but you would need to source the right parts to get the desired/best results.
here’re some resources to get you started

Thanks a lot, seems like a great starting point!
Just noticed that getting these pre-assembled vactrols in europe is a bit hard due to restrictions on components within them…
Is there also a way to get around the Vacs with Opto’s or something else within the purely digital processing realms?
