Accidental clearing of all tracks analog four

Hi! Is there a way to lock tracks so they can’t be erased by pressing [Function]+[Play]? I keep on forgetting to press [Rec] before erasing one track and end up losing all of my work.

Not sure about track lock/protection, but you can undo an unintentional ‘delete’ by repeating the button combo again straight away  at least that’s how it works on OT, haven’t had to try it on AK yet…

Nope…
this still happens to me sometimes, just have to be careful :zonked:

Happens to me from time to time too. Best practice for me is to save out the project from time to time. This allows to restore the last saved status - at least.

My suggestion is to never use function > play to clear tracks, patterns or kits. Every time I’ve tried it’s ended in a mistake. Better to use the kit, pattern or track options menus and clear it that way. More steps, but then by the end you know for sure you’re doing what you intended to.

if you realize the mistake quickly enough (before pressing anything else)
you can undo the clear operation with fn+play

just FYI, if not known…

Practice -practice -practice… :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: I’m allmost always quick enoug to do the reset - but it has to happen before the pattern loops or jumps to antoher …
Motoric memory is something amazing if you train it… indispenceble for hardware - muscisians, and mine isn’t very good > the reason I like sequencers … but after 2 years of practicing my hands go faster than my eyes on this machine :joy:
