AC/DC question regarding uZeus PSU power brick

Probably a noob question, but better safe than sorry:

So an online seller (2nd hand) screwed me and didn’t supply the PSU / power supply that should come with a uZeus Eurorack power module.

I’ve checked around online and I should be able to be fine with any AC/DC (switching?) power brick that outputs 15V and at least 1Amp. Happy Nerding (from uZeus) even say this in the manual that it’s fine to use a regular universal power brick.

I’ve found two power adapters that I own that are the needed 15V and 1Amp. Only they don’t mention if they are AC/DC. Is every adapter AC/DC? Or is it important to differentiate between AcDc supplies and “other” supplies?

(their websites also don’t specify their power supplies other than 15v and 1Amp)

The dash with the dots underneath indicate DC.

Yup, and also be aware of the “center positive” vs “center negative” indicator. Both of yours show center positive.

Guitar pedal power supplies are usually center negative so sometimes finding a center positive 9V supply at a guitar player’s house might be tricky…

uZeus is manufactured by Tip Top Audio, not Happy Nerding. I just want to make sure you’re reading the right manual!

Yeah I’m aware of the center positive / negative, but good of you to mention to be sure.

Also tiptop instead of happy nerding, you’re right: after so much trouble shooting and Googleing stuff starts to get foggy in my mind

But it works perfect now, right barrel size, right +/-, right amp and right voltage. Just checked and all good! (I also checked the amps that my modules will need)
