This is really timely for me. I’m taking the month of July to make my own sample pack. Loops, FX, sounds, etc.
I can take the Move anywhere and make a bunch of loops. Bring those loops back into Ableton and throw them in my “Sample Maker” chain.
So awesome!

I never tried the beta’s but I think this weekend I give it a go
Just received my Move yesterday, with a microlab mk3, and I’m blown away, the sequencer is top notch, the whole worklfow allows you to do most of the easy tricks of the digitakt 2 (looping selected pages, changing a parameter simultaneously for multiple trigs on multiples pages, etc) combined with capture, undo/redo, mic, portability, battery, ableton seamless transfer, etc. It really blows the digitakt 2 for my use case and totally fill the gaps i had with it.
I was worried that the move was just about coming with basic/mildly intersting patterns fast, but it’s the opposite imo, it brings a lot of creativity and push you to craft in detail but also to improvise, and i end up fast with something i really want to finish or to jam on.
Speaking of jamming, the move is absolutely capable of it, well its not an elektron in that regard but it’s totally sufficient to have fun with something you like, just need some finger dexterity and speed, which is fun.

How is Link Audio working for folks on here? I really want to make use of it for individual track streaming into Ableton but the latency is still a tad bit high at the lowest buffer settings for me. It’s usable, but honestly just barely. Wondering if I’m just going to have to go back to the workflow of creating jams just in Move and then transferring those sessions over through the Cloud instead of complicating things by trying to use Link Audio. Curious how others are doing it.

And then select Move as the audio interface, you mean?
No, you just plug usb-c cable to the computer with live to move and you can set latency like 12 ms for 4 tracks with no dropouts.
Ah, right, gotcha. Should have mentioned I’m trying to record other gear at the same time, and annoyingly, my other interface can’t do the same sample rate as Move, so I can’t create an aggregate device with them. Hence left with the option of trying to do things via Link Audio, which ended up being more of a PITA than I thought. Sort of gave up honestly.
