Wondering if anyone knows of a way to pan the keys in note mode. Not necessarily a full octave. I find myself often wanting one or two keys more but moving up a whole octave blocks my lower notes. Would be nice to be able to pan the keybed up/down or left/right one note at a time.

with a few button presses unfortunately: choose another root note from the scale and the corresonding mode. For example you play in C major, switch to D dorian.

I have two questions regarding content management I haven’t been able to find an answer for:
i) Is it possible to hide (or delete) the factory presets so they don’t show up on the list? There’s many I don’t like I’d like to take away, specially since they stop being chosen when creating sets.
ii) Is it possible to “tag” or move user created presets into the categories for different instruments? It is annoying to keep increasing the list of user presets with very different type of sounds in the same list.

No to both, but they’re common feature requests on the discord. It would be cool to have it pick the random 4 sounds from our own creations rather than having our stuff be down at the bottom of a big list all in one folder with no way to organize.

that’s unfortunate u.u i totally agree. I barely use any of the default drum kits or so taking those away would be actually benefitial.

You’d think it’d be possible, as it’s a feature of KO-2 by TE, it seems to randomise through banks of sounds pretty effectively.
Why not take a te if it got this feature ? 
Ableton integration/Link, RNBO, Schwung, build quality, longterm support, polyphonic aftertouch…maybe some other stuff but I think that covers it

I was watching this video and wondering how the Move’s mic compares to a regular mobile phone mic to capture basic singing. I mean not pristine audio for commercial pop ballads but just some phrases that then anyway you process and add effects for your amateur projects. Basically, would someone already using a mobile phone to record lyrics and for low budget “field recording” get any improvement in audio quality with the Move mic? I’m compiling reasons to get a Move and this would add a couple more drops to the glass.

from my perspective iphone mic’s better but it’s still a decent mic

I used the use the mic quite a bit on Move and I’d say it’s perfectly usable. I’d also say though that the mic on my iPad is better.

I really wish that swing/groove settings applied to the note repeat/arp function in real time. Are there any workarounds to this besides recording first and then quantizing manually?
Does anyone recall whether Ableton Move was on sale last summer, during Ableton’s summer sale?
