Move.local?

There is no onboard readout?

Correct, it’s on the Settings page. I do not know of a way to see this locally.

Do you think we ever see 8 tracks like on Note, I know they said no.

No, it’s not possible which is why they said no.

Wishful thinking I know, but can I ask for those who sync projects with Note and Move. Then what happens if you load a note project with 8 tracks into Move, guess it works one way Move to Note only?

You can load Note sets onto Move, but you’ll only ever be able to see the first 4 tracks regardless of how many you’re using.

They said ‘no’ so… no? Beyond that, how would that work without betraying the original design?

If it has the capability of running 8 tracks, I’d rather see them add seamless switch from set to set.

If it had 8 tracks everyone would be asking for 16.

If they can make it 16, surely they could make it 32.

Yeah I heard that too, but always assumed Note was meant to be 4 track as well to get synergy between the two. Otherwise I don’t mind it, it be nice to have extra tracks but then the whole point is to throw it in Ableton to embleish it.

It’s clearly a conspiracy by Big DAW just to make more money

Unlimited is where it’s at

Nothing’s impossible, apart from using the damn project you’ve now added 64 instances of the wavetable synth all with unison on :joy:

Even after loading an 8-track set from Note into Move and editing it, the set still shows 8 tracks when opened again in Note. Technically, it might be possible to manage more than four tracks by swapping them in Move.

You can totally do that. Move picks up tracks 1-4, so you just have to swap tracks around in Note

I did a feature request on this, feel free to upvote:

Midi routing question for y’all…

I want to send clock from the Move to two guitar pedals with trs midi in. What is the easiest way to achieve this? I guess i need something to convert the usb midi and split it, but i’m not sure what to look for.
thanks

Midi out will be sent over the USB-A port. The easiest way to do this will be with a midi router that duplicates clock to multiple MIDI DIN ports, then use a DIN-to TRS converter on each out. Something like the CME U6MIDI PRO: CME U6 MIDI Pro – Musikhaus Thomann

Thank you! That is the perfect solution…
