yep, but that’s only if they want to force the pads… I can live without them completely as I don’t use session view at all, so I’m thinking more into the Softube territory, 8+main tracks mixer + 16 (or more) pots controller, something like that, maybe even the implementation of ring led indicators for where the pots are something like on the MFT
the LaunchControl XL is yet another midi controller you need to map etc, plus it has pots not endless encoders, my EC4 does way better job with that, it auto-reads parameters and gets the value when focused on different device/parameters map, I would love to have this not fixed pots…
Cool idea, and I get it now. I guess it’s kind of interesting that for me the push is mainly useful because of the pads, at least the MPE pads are why I want to go to a push 3 instead of push 2. So when people say push without the pads I’m like, what even is that
not enough, I tell ya, when I focus with EC4 on a device, most of them have more then 16, I have to shift pages, you don’t realize that but there are way more then 8 parameters on everything… it has to be 16 minimum, 24/32 preferably, with a screen and ring indicators should work great
My guess is that it’s a Push mini, or they took that idea and made some kind of dedicated groovebox. Can’t say anything more than that, but I wouldn’t be surprised.
The Note app has a lot of potential that hasn’t been realized. Integrating it into its own portable hardware with knobs, pads and a headphone jack would make it more useful.
