Looks like you can transfer drum racks and presets… currently experimental according to this article - https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/articles/15616909965596-Presets-on-Move
I see, got it…
Well it just took £100 off the retail price of a Circuit Tracks. Novation seemingly dropped it from £359 to £249.
The more I think about it, the more I’m disappointed. I’m definitely not their target audience, I guess. It works well as a portable sampler, but I’m not really into sampling. It offers a bit of everything, but doesn’t go even slightly beyond the surface in any of these areas. But I understand that for the target audience they had in mind, this is a great product.
I’d consider it if there is deep integration with Ableton Live, but right now, you could say I’m not moved to purchase one. badum-ching
I loved live and used it everyday since technically before 1.0, not sure this is for me… the realization that everyone doesn’t really like to talk about sampling or act like it’s important but that it’s the sampling features that are used to differentiate between all of these tiers the manufacturers have, meaning at least to me that it’s the sampling features that are the money makers is rubbing me the wrong way…
if the sampling features are the swing states then they shouldn’t be neglected to the degree that they are…
Yep
4 tracks kills it for me, particularly as I have Note on my phone. If it had 8, I would almost certainly have bit.
I was going to buy ableton suite in the next sale… guess I’ll see if there’s a move bundle when that happens, otherwise a pass for me at the moment.
Just got confirmation that the audio inputs don’t pass audio through, they are only active when sampling
No Loopop so I’m calling FAKE
Silly Q. Love the chromatic pitch per drum piece in a rack, that was demonstrated on this device. Does the Push 3 do this and I have been missing it the whole time? Ex 808 kick
The only reason I had a Circuit Tracks was because I needed some way to bring a 4 octave keyboard into my backpack. I would sometimes CMD+M some parameters but that’s it really.
I work out of my backpack 40% of the time so Move is kind of a dream addition to my workflow. Just like the Circuit I’m not sure I care about the internal synths (I love Drift for fast sound design but never really got anything good out of Wavetable). But as a super portable poly-AT 4 octave midi controller with Ableton integration it looks absolutely ace, I just ordered it for that.
Might record in some Lyra-8 samples to try to get a bit freaky with it.
Really looking forward to Move 2.
Wes is that you?
This for me is an open question. 3 tracks on the Circuit Tracks is pretty limited, but even just a one more would be enough for a sketch. But this is supposed to be like Ableton Note Plus, and Note has 8 tracks. So would they maybe consider adding a 2nd bank at some point? It’s not out of the question on the hardware, so seems mostly a firmware thing.
The other thing is they want you to get this out of Move and into Live quickly so at that point the 4 track limit is almost there to force you down that route I guess.
How many Scenes are there per project? Anyone?
Note has 8; hoping it’s more than that.
Kinda pricey. Glad it’s under 500 though. Wish it was 100 or two cheaper than it is.

Let the man wake up and start uploading the video!
Really curious also if there are any other functions not activated yet where the pop-up backlit icons are. Lots of empty spots
