Wondering if it’s possible to use an external MIDI controller other than a Push — possibly a custom-made device or Faderfox, Midi Fighter Twister etc… — to easily control parameters of Simpler and/or Sampler devices that are housed in a drum rack. I don’t know much about Control Surface scripts as of yet, but am willing to look into it…

Never owned a Push, but imagine Push would solve this?

– Have a Drum Rack with Simpler or Sampler devices in its cells…

– Control a couple of parameters in a cell with an external MIDI controller, e.g. pitch, envelopes, sample length, sample start position etc…

– Automatically ASSIGN the same MIDI knob to the “same” parameter of another cell each time I highlight a another cell…

This is the part that always stumps me. The rest is all quite straightforward

It would be a lot easier to get the push because it would definitely do everything you’re asking for.

I can’t be any more helpful than that unfortunately.

I kinda like the Launchpad Pro MK3 which I would LOVE to combine with a custom build MIDI controller, but Push is an option, of course, if it can’t be done any other way.

Pulled the trigger for a Push. :slightly_smiling_face:

LOVE the Push 3. Really nice encoders. For those wondering about other devices controlling individual cells of Drum-Rack… Ableton’s Blue Hand mapping (custom control scripts) is the solution: just group the Simpler and map that racks macros — done.
