As explained it does require engaging but you may like what it adds to your sound - so far I’ve found it preferable to use it activated when using overdrive (gives a lot of bottom end enhancement to my ears).

i’m with you on the want more details side although i guess i’ll just do it and deal with it .
i have a question to you updated guys : does the update wipes out your memory . if so you have to back-up everything and reload it i guess . any tips we should know before doing that ?

if you feel anxious about losing data, do a full backup with c6, it can’t hurt.

the OS update will copy your current project into project slot 2, and use project slot 1 for the factory patterns/kits.

filter reso boost is a toggle in the sound menu, enabled on the default patch, but disabled on all your old patches (including patches contained in kits). poly settings are part of the kit, and are also disabled for all your old kits as well as for new default kits.

in short, your project should be exactly the same after upgrading.

Just started reading the readme file, some nice small updates here as well.

“Quantized real time recording can now be toggled on/off via [RECORD]+[PLAY] while live record mode is enabled.”

“Parameter page keys can now be held down to unveil the values for all parameters at once. This is similar to pressing a single encoder to show its value, but for all parameters on the page at once.”

“The [TRANSPOSE] button can now be used together with the [UP]/[DOWN] keys inside the SOUND BROWSER to change the keyboard octave. This is very convenient while previewing sounds with the mini keyboard.”

Only thing iam missing is the p-locks on the arp…

It does indeed become unstable and produce very unpredictable sounds. Even more so when poly and unison enter the picture. Extremely satisfying, sounds like a whole new machine

Really excellent upgrade. I still wish the note slide behavior could be adjusted and a few other tiny user interface things (eg LFO destination still easy to change by accident) but these are very minor problems compared to better patch/kit management, better filtering, better voice allocation, better storage…my A4 feels like it just doubled in power.

yes its a checkbox, for your existing patches you have to enable it.

And yes you will probably like the extra character is gives to your patch if you enable it.

Mine stuck for about 10 minutes. I was about to reboot and just mashed some buttons instead. It worked and all is fine without rebooting.

Im confused. So can you not just make a chord with track 1 say. I mean, put a trig on the sequencer and that trig equal 3 or four notes only for track1?

Yes you can. Hold a trig and press up to 4 keys. First key pressed will be the “root key”. The other keys will be locked as N02-N04 on the ARP page (offsets to the root key). If the Arp is off and the track is configured for polyphony the trig will play back a chord.
