Lately I started using my A4 for sound processing, finding some weird behavior, for example:
I have one BANK In wich I process a Drum Machine through Track1, and it works just fine, I trigger it in the first step of the seq. with sustain and release knobs all opened and so on… the first thing I find strange is that when muting this track, the sound you are processing is not muted, the only way to mute it is by setting the track level fader down, ok, at least you can do it…
now, in another BANK (with another kit linked to it), I want to process the same sound source through the fx track, so I go to the FX page, place a trigger in the first step and then you start hearing the sound but, even with all faders down ( in the performance page) the sound won’t stop, and from this point, if I change again to the previous bank same thing will happen; with track1 fader up you hear the processed sound, but with all faders down you hear the “dry” sound.
And you will have this weird behavior till the unit is rebooted.
So, am I doing something wrong? (most likely) or is this a bug?
I don’t quite understand your second problem, but your first problem is that you have release turned all the way up on the Amp. This means the volume will stay open forever. If you put the release down, the sound will fade away once the triggers stop. You could place a trig that is the length of your sequence, (32 steps or whatever) and then have full sustain, no release. Meaning when you mute that track, the sound will stop instantly. This is because the A4’s muting works by turning off the track’s triggers which lets any existing sound trail off naturally, instead of the OT’s mute which just silences the whole track.
Hope that helps.

that definitely helps!!! thanks a lot for the clear explanation…
I’ll try to describe the situation again, to try to make clear the second issue:
Bank A1 : sound processing through track1, osc 1 and 2 set to in L and R, envelope triggered (now without infinite release
), Muting the track will kill the sound
now I change to bank B1 where I have a different kit linked to the pattern in that bank (so all different parameters)
Bank B1: sound processing through fx track, in Fx page, in the Ext in window I turn up volumes for L and R channels, nothing happens, so I place a trigger in the fist step and it starts to sound, but know, even with all the faders down, I get the “dry” sound of my drum machine, and now when i change to Bank A1 again I can’t mute the drum machine any more, even muting the Track1 or whit all the faders down i get now the dry sound and this wasn’t happening before.
now if I reboot, in BankA1, muting the track1 will again work fine and kill the sound.
sorry for the loong text, it’s a bit difficult to explain… maybe I made myself clear know…
