A4 SH-101 Suggested Settings

Hi guys.

I was hoping someone could help me …

I’m pretty green with CV stuff, but a little while ago I found a post on the old forum with A4 CV settings for controlling the 101. It worked well, but it’s been some time since and the CV page in the A4 has been reworked.

I can’t quite work out how to get consistent pitching using this new implementation. If someone’s using the 101 successfully with the A4, would they mind posting the settings they’re using?

Thanks!

hope it helps…feedback highly welcomed!

Thanks a lot for this! Sorry I didn’t see it earlier - for some reason I didn’t get a notification. Looking forward to trying this out tonight to see how it goes.

Thanks again for taking the time!

sure man… I used the old forum, an excellent post to create my wiring setup etc … good luck bro! … please report back with some nice patch settings, both A4 and Roland…

ps: I had the most fun, sendeing the sh101 into the A4 inputs, and plocking the chorus on the input tracks… wow man!

Thanks heaps, I tried this out today! I feel like I’m getting closer, but I’m still a little confused, sorry.

In your settings you’ve got Note 2 listed as the lower octave, and Note 1 as the higher, which seems the opposite to how I imagined it to work. When I set up my 101 with your settings listed on the vid, the notes are inverted (the higher I move up the keyboard, the lower the 101 goes).

i had the same issue for a while with the “inverted keyboard” … some other awesome forum member here … told me… i kinda forgot why … maybe cos I set a negative voltage …

not sure, but doesnt matter so much to me, I can adapt :stuck_out_tongue:

Cool, thanks. It seems like it can be fixed maybe just be swapping over the settings of Notes 1 and 2? Anyway, thanks so much again for taking the time.

no problem… please make a little vid and show us what you managed to squeeze out… would be very interested also of your SH patches / wiring, routing etc …

dont forget the A4 can send out ARP and FX plock incoming Audio which is unbelievable imho
