A4 pattern change affect other patterns

Hi All,

First of all, I would like to say hello everyone as this is my first post here.

I’m new to A4 so excuse me if I’m asking an obvious question

The thing is I created a song consisting of six patterns. The first one was copied to create another five. When I change something on f.eg. pattern 4, the same changes apear in pattern 3 on the same track.

I don’t need that  The changes which apply to previous patterns are effects made with parameter lock function.

Thanks and sorry if it was already explained here. I just could’t find it.

Sounds like you need to assign a different kit for each pattern. Otherwise of course the changes will occur on all patterns which use the same kit.

The changes you make on a kit are affecting every pattern which uses that kit. That’s actually the convenience of kits.

If you want changes affecting only the pattern, but you want to keep the general sound of your kit, you could use trig locks.

If you want to make a different pattern with totally different sounds… just assign another kit to that pattern like ‘vestibule’ said.

Thank you!
