A4 OS 1.12C checksum error?

I’ve dl’d the latest OS (1.12C) and attempted an upgrade using C6.
I’m getting a checksum error. Has anyone else encountered this?

MBP OSX 10.9.5

Current A4 OS 1.06

C6 v. 1.51

Might be unrelated, but how did you connect the computer to the A4? USB? MIDI?
