A4 mk II + DFAM + MOTHER 32 Different tracks

Hello!

A question, if im running my mother 32 on the cv track, is it possible to run my dfam through for example track 4? How do i do that if thats possible?

would be grateful for answee

Use the FX track - you set the CV source track when setting up cv channels by pressing the encoder down - it’s in the manual if you need more info

thanks for answer, I tried now but i can only use my m32 at the cv track and when i choose t4 with my dfam it doesnt work…

The fx track is actually track 5. You should be able to enable midi out at least from this track ( I don’t own a DFAM so I don’t know if that will help )

You could (since the m32 has midi) run MIDI out for the M32 for note value, then the DFAM cv out for each osc seperately for chords or precise FM cross modulation per step. Moving the M32 Leaves 2 CV tracks of automation for other parameters on either unit. I would do this…

MIDI out from A4 track 5 to M32, M32 sync out to DFAM.
CV A DFAM note out for osc 1 from cv channel from cv track
CV B DFAM note out for osc 2 from fx channel from another track (mine is FX mirroring the midi out)
CV C DFAM filter cutt automation with A4 LFO and envelopes all plocked
CV D M32 filter cutt automation with A4 LFO and Envelope p locked…

Use the velocity sequencer of the DFAM for exactly that…and the pitch sequencer to automate anything but…(noise amount or envelope decay are good)

Then into the inputs of the A4 for seperate, automatable, volume levels, reverb sends, delay and chorus sends, all taken care of by the A4.

I have similar atm but a sub phatty instead of a M32. It’s great being able to use the A4 envelopes and LFOs and change values per step all in sync with the BPM…

Only M32 is MIDI, DFAM is only CV…
