A4 + Korg Volca Bass

Hi

Did someone use the A4 with the Volca Bass already?

Is it possible to use the A4 CV Gate to control the volca Bass?

I am thinking about buying a Volca Bass but I am not sure if it is useful.

Yes You can control the Volca with the A4. the CV on the A4 has an adjustable voltage so you should try 1 volt first then 3v then it may be 5v. I can remember off hand. The Volca can be driven from the audio on an iPhone. there is a MonoTribe app which allows you to use the headphone jack as gate and it works with the volca series.

I think it could be cool to extend the patterns.
The Volcas can just have 16 Steps. If you use the CV gate of the A4 you should be able to use 64Steps with the Volcas.
I am not using an iPhone but i think there is probably also an Android app.
How does the App work?

It basically “beeps” the tempo. Not a true gate…

Might exist for android I can’t see why not, very straight forward.
