Hi all
I am getting started with using my A4 as a Eurorack sequencer and it is GREAT. I am setting one or more oscillators as external in. I love how I can plock fx, etc, and it is really useful to use the A4 VCA/envelopes.
Except, sometimes I want to bypass the A4 envelopes, and use a Eurorack solution instead.
Is there a way I can bypass the A4 envelopes entirely for a single track, i.e just keep the VCA wide open, BUT keep sending CV gate signals (as well as pitch) when a trig fires? The idea is I will trigger Eurorack envelopes with the A4 gates.
That way Eurorack can handle Oscillator and envelope, but I can plock FX and filters.
You could use a inf trig on a synth track so you would have a for ever sustaining note and use the CV track to trigger the euro env.

or infinite release (and max sustain)

Thanks - I think I tried this last night and it didn’t hit the spot - but I’ll try again today. Cheers guys and girls.
Don’t set the source for cv/gate to the synth track you‘re using ofc.
Use the CV track and lay down some trigs. Should work imo.
Btw, I think you could still use the filter env and env 2 on the synth track by using retrigger in the note menu or retriggering env shapes.
I want to send the gate and pitch cv from one A4 synth track, so everything is in one place. That’s why I want to bypass the envelope.
Actually I think you could indeed use the synth track as cv source, because any subsequent trigs after the trig with inf note length (to open the vca) won‘t affect the vca, so you could just place trigs on that track that are used to trigger the euro env.
You know, I thought it would be best to keep the sequence used for sending cv seperate from the synth track so you could control both better, but actually there shouldn‘t be a need for this.
Sometimes it‘s not easy to wrap your head around such stuff when your not sitting in front of your synth^^

Needs a non retriggering env shape for the amp env with zero attack and max sustain to function properly of course.
Maybe dial a little bit of release, too!
