A4 Back up to PC Failed!

I NEED HELP!

I am useing the A4 for some time now, created lots of tracks/kits."
But I am unable to save these tracks/kits from the A4 to my Computer!
I just want to save my made tracks to my computer for backup.

  • I just updated the lates software.

  • Installed SysEx

  • I use a midi cable to connect the A4 to my Windows XP PC.

  • Set the Global - Midi- Connection port settings to “midi/USB”

  • Open SysEx and click on “receive”

  • At A4 in de Global menu, SysEx dump, set to “send”

  • Choose “All” & “Whole project”

  • And click to Start/Yes

  • The SysEx display says “receiving…”

  • The A4 display says “sending”, and when “complete” the SysEx displays about 20000kb in the bottom.

  • And when I press the “stop/receive” button a file apears “unnamed” 22kb

  • But nothing happens further.

  • But when I click the file “unnamed” in the bottom is appearing some data, but all zero’s!

Question 1: How do I know the download/backup was succesfull ?
Question 2: Where does SysEx save/store the backup file?

I am stuck, cannot do a reboot without backup my files!
PLEASE HELP

Hi
once c6 has stopped receiving
1 click on the unnamed file
2 check it doesnt have any errors (in the info below the file)
3 choose to save it (place of your choosing

id recommend doing this a few times, make triple sure theres no errors, and have a few back ups
also its worth saving all kits, and all patterns, and all globals
apparently more reliable than project…

good luck

OK, thanx!
I will try that.
